There are a lot of ways to make money on the Internet. The truth is that most people don't stick with one thing long enough to find out how well it does or doesn't work. The other problem is that there are so many voices and ads screaming, "This way is the easiest, no our way is the fastest. The truth gets drowned out in all the noise. Let me share with you right now the two most important things that you need to know to make money on the Internet.
Before I do that, let me just say that once I share with you these two things, you will realize that there are no shortcuts to making money online or anywhere else.
1. Traffic (I am not talking about tens of thousands; I am talking about over one hundred thousand.)
2. Relationships (If you are not capturing the names of the people that are coming to your sites and contacting them at least once a week, you are going to go broke or get very old before you make any real money on line.
If your first goal is to get people to buy something from you, you are going to need 10,000 people to get about 100 to 500 names of which you will get 1 to 3 sales if you are selling something for under $150.00.
You might say, “That will be easy, all I have to do is buy 10,000 visits from my favorite traffic exchange or banner site and I will be on my way.”
Let me ask you, do you know what a traffic exchange, squeeze page, auto responder and merchant account are and how and where to get them on the web? If you do, then you probably have some idea how much you have to know to pull all of these pieces together leaving no gaps in your marketing campaign and sales cycle. If you don't, then you know what you need to learn first.
For either of you, there is a much easier and better way. The value of having a professional setup and put all of these pieces together for you can mean the difference between success and failure in online marketing.
